William O. Warwick, age 78 of Knoxville passed away on June 19, 2017. He was son of the late Henry and Iva Warwick. Mr. Warwick retired after 34 years of service from the City of Knoxville Fire Department. He was also the former president of the Knoxville Firefighters Association; former president of the North Knoxville Business and Professional Association and the Fulton High School Alumni Association. Mr. Warwick was a lifelong member and deacon at Gillespie Avenue Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Raymond Warwick. Survivors...

William O. Warwick, age 78 of Knoxville passed away on June 19, 2017. He was son of the late Henry and Iva Warwick. Mr. Warwick retired after 34 years of service from the City of Knoxville Fire Department. He was also the former president of the Knoxville Firefighters Association; former president of the North Knoxville Business and Professional Association and the Fulton High School Alumni Association. Mr. Warwick was a lifelong member and deacon at Gillespie Avenue Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Raymond Warwick. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Wanda Warwick; four children: Gregg Warwick (Angie), Michael Warwick, Connie Warwick and Scott Warwick; grandchildren: Corinne Warwick, Dustin Warwick (Brittany), Tyler Warwick (Brittney), Alex Warwick, Elijah Warwick and Parker Warwick; great grandchildren: Austin Shephard, Blakely Shephard, Delani Anderson, Carli Anderson, Harper Warwick, Campbell Warwick, Levi Warwick, Annie Warwick and Parker Lane. Special thanks to sister-in-law Wilma Patterson for her loving support and special care. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 5-7 pm in the chapel of Berry-Lynnhurst Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service following, with Rev. Chris Garner, officiating. The Graveside Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Full Honors will be provided by the City of Knoxville Fire Department. Everyone is asked to meet at the gravesite by 10:45 am for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Gillespie Avenue Baptist Church.
